* Honeywell Connected Enterprise ELK Support Admin Lead *

ELK admin support lead is responsible for ELK Solution & Logging/Monitoring Service. We monitor and improve the system and suggest improvements for implementation by others. We are involved in incident and change management. We also act as consultants for engineers and product managers when new products and services are getting ready t.You will work directly with our Engineering and DevOps teams to provide our solution and service to new products.

The qualified candidate will be comfortable working in an environment that is both matrixed and with some direct oversight of on andoffshoreteams in other technical

domains.

The position reports to the Connected Enterprise India support leader and willbe basedin Atlanta, America.

Provide support in delivering business value through the effective incident and problem management. You will help deliver fit for purpose ITSM processes and support enterprise adoption. You will provide reliable information and data to enable management decision making throughout the service lifecycle. You will support proactive problem identification and ensure the return of IT Service to users as quickly as possible to minimize disruption to the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Logging and Monitoring Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for implementation and ongoing administration of migration from Splunk to ELK.
  • Aligning with the product team to provide guidance and help on-boarding new product on ELK.
  • Responsible for end-to-end monitoring data stack from the product to display layer.Performance tuning of ELK clusters.
  • Dashboard creation and maintenance.
  • Alerting creation and maintenance.
  • Alerting mail server setup and maintenance.
  • Data index schema maintenance.
  • Collaborating with application teams to complete required tools installation and ELK updates, patches, version upgrades when required.
  • Point of Contact for Vendor escalation.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience installing, configuring and administering ELK cluster and or equivalent experience in Splunk.
  • Experience with content visualization in ELK or Splunk including Dashboard, Canvas, Monitoring alert, and role configuration.
  • Practical expertise in managing and leading application reliability practices for software applications.
  • Scripting capability to include: PowerShell, BASH, Ansible, Terraform, and Chef.
  • Ability to work across teams to continuously analyze system performance in production, troubleshoot consumer and engineering reported issues, and proactively identify areas in need of optimization.
  • Previous experience with automation and driving real-time monitoring solutions that provide visibility into cluster health and key performance indicators.Technical understanding of core logging and monitoring architecture.
  • Working understanding of IT service management (Incident, Problem, Change and Knowledge management.
  • Ability to lead a technical team of support engineers through day to day operations and critical incidents.
  • Prior experience with agile methodologies, performance engineering, and automation tools.
