The Principal IoT Architect is determined and assertive in both understanding SBG needs, as well as communicating Platform capabilities – both current and future.

This role requires strong technical understanding of and experience in:

•Embedded and supervisory control systems used in industrial process control

•IoT and enterprise messaging patterns and implementations

•Cloud application implementation, design and architecture

•Delivery of multi-layer systems that span embedded devices through to mobile and web apps

•Deep understanding of cloud security concepts to enable working closely with security architects

•Ability to implement modern identity management systems using protocols like OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0

•API Design

•Developer documentation

•Designing and architecting for continuous delivery using tools like feature toggling, continuous integration and concepts like configuration via code and automated testing.

•Understanding of semantic modelling and real world application of ontologies to application development and data analysis

•Understanding of streaming and batch data analytics tools

•Understanding of data governance tools and workflows

•Ability to gain consensus across diverse groups of stakeholders

25 Cloud application implementation, design and architecture

25 IoT and enterprise messaging patterns and implementations

25 Delivery of multi-layer systems that span embedded devices through to mobile and web apps

25 Design and architecture for continuous delivery

YOU MUST HAVE

•5+ years of experience leading several teams of developers and architects through proof of concept coding, implementation guidance, design sessions

•2+ years of experience with Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS) and open source tools like rabbitmq, Kafka, or influxdb

WE VALUE

•Experience in the delivery of continuously developed cloud applications over multiple years

•Experience working for multiple years on platforming projects

•Ability to communicate technical topics to executive leaders

•Ability to code or at least good understanding of C#, Java, Javascript, Go, C/C++

•Ability to guide application teams through architecture working sessions to help develop conceptual and technical architectures for new products

•Experience working with globally distributed teams
