The Documentation Controller is a key member of the HBS team and works closely with members of the Waikeria Prison Development PPP Project and Program Management teams to deliver high-quality documentation to support Honeywell’s contract with the customer, while tracking and organizing all incoming documentation.

The primary focus of this role is to lead and manage the documentation produced by the project team, ensuring all work is based on current approved external documents. As an experienced Technical Writer, the Documentation Controller is also responsible for the creation and provision of technical and user documentation, including reviewing, editing, filing and distributing documents produced by other team members.

Working closely with project members and other subject matter experts, the Documentation Controller proactively obtains the information necessary to develop the teams’ documentation deliverables within thetime-framesagreed with the project managers. Operating as a documentation consultant to the organisation, the Documentation Controller is involved in all phases of the projectlife-cycle, from requirements evaluation, gathering and definition to analysis, information security, development, and on through to the testing, training and delivery of the project.

Relocation to the area (Waikeria) is required for the successful candidate.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Formal qualification in Communication / Technical Writing / Management or equivalent industry experience

  • Experience in an Engineering or IT infrastructure environment

  • Ability to create, maintain and provide input to project communications
  • Competency in providing input to training packages/technical/user release notifications
