The Entity Controller is responsible for financial accounting & compliance for all allocated legal entities. The role has responsibility and ownership over US GAAP and statutory reporting and ensures an environment of strong internal controls. The role closely collaborates with the Regional and Global Finance Centres through management of staff and/or outsourced service providers.

The Entity Controller reports into the Country Finance Manager and is an important partner to the regional business, tax and treasury teams. Other key partners include External and Internal Auditors, Corporate Finance and Functional Management and SBG Finance.

Responsibilities

Responsible for delivering all US GAAP related tasks like month end close , Account reconciliations, Variance Analysis, Quarter end schedules. Participate in monthly pre-close / close lock meetings with GFC & RFC and ensure timely & qualitative close and reporting of books.

Provide/Review monthly supplemental schedules and statistical data.

Preparation & Review of International Tax packages & Country Tax packages

Review/approve trial balances / balance sheet accounts. Conduct flux analyses.

Review/approve complex, judgemental journals; define calculation method for recurring, non-judgemental journals.

Review country/region specific contracts and provide US GAAP compliant revenue recognition accounting treatment.

Liaise with Country Finance Leader, SBG controllers & commercial finance to ensure overall revenue recognition compliance.

Review/approve all balance sheet account reconciliations.

Conduct material, annual Balance Sheet reviews.

Safeguard company assets in the region - review and approve fixed assets/inventory counts.

Conduct impairments reviews and assessments.

Drive and coordinate internal/external audit for all allocated Legal Entities

Drive remediation of audit observations & ensure strong internal controls

environment.

Leverage and Maximise GFC & RFC Support on all key deliverable.

Owns and maintain the SOP (standard Operating Procedures) for the Country

activities.

Drive and support Corporate Audits in the Country and support resolution of Internal Controls CAPs

Support Country Finance Manager on any adhoc tasks

Qualifications/Experience

Bachelor’s degree with accounting qualification, managing Legal Entity Compliance

Qualified Accountant or CPA equivalent Preferred.

Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley and US GAAP.

Broad understanding of legal, regulatory and compliance

requirements for the Country.

Strong business acumen

Country local Gaap knowledge.

Extensive relevant finance experience

Must have

ability to work in a high-pressure environment

Ability to effectively work in a matrix environment

Ability to apply the appropriate level of deliberation to complex

and high risk matters

Ability to develop and effectively manage remote teams

Strong communication and presentation skills

Ability to build strong relationships and utilize the

appropriate network

Highly motivated and change minded
