Responsibilities

The copywriter position will be reporting into the Global Marcom COE, with a matrix line to the Senior Creative Services Manager in Aerospace.This external-facing, publishing-centric role will help tell Aerospace’s stories and news via the website andwill provide concepts and copywriting to ensure delivery of work that is aligned to the marketing communications objectives, product strategies and expectations of the Aerospace businesses as defined in the Creative Brief, while building the brand.The role helps to support the content editorial calendar across the web, including blogs, news, press releases, email marketing, social media and events as well as multiple other customer marketing communications channels.The role helps to support the content editorial calendar across the web, including blogs, news, press releases, email marketing, social media and events as well as multiple other customer marketing communications channels.

The successful candidate has a journalism (preferred) or communications-trained background, brings outstanding and creative writing skills to the table and desires to work in one of the most innovative and popular industries in the world. Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Creative excellence

- Follows established conceptual and stylistic direction on projects to execute powerful solutions for marketing communication needs.

- Works within Centers of Excellence (Creative, Digital, Trade Shows & Events, Project Management) to establish continuity in branding and voice.

- Adopts and develops best practices within department

2. Marketing Communications (Functional) Effectiveness

- Observes timelines and budgets.

- Proofreads and edits applying Honeywell style guide to new and existing communications.- - Documents and maintains processes and content repositories.

- Collaborates with Honeywell Corporate level initiatives as needed.

- Monitors emerging trends and technologies and recommends appropriately.

3. Works with outside resources

- Works with and provides direction to Global Creative Resources teams and outside vendors as needed.

4. Brand Compliance

- Employs and enforces a Honeywell editorial style under direction of Creative CoE leadership.- Proofreads and edits applying Honeywell style guide to new and existing communications.- - Documents and maintains processes and content repositories.- Collaborates with Honeywell Corporate level initiatives as needed.- Monitors emerging trends and technologies and recommends appropriately.3. Works with outside resources- Works with and provides direction to Global Creative Resources teams and outside vendors as needed.4. Brand Compliance- Employs and enforces a Honeywell editorial style under direction of Creative CoE leadership.

- Follows and assists in development of processes for proofing, consistency, and Honeywell brand compliance.

- Serves as resource for Honeywell brand management to marketing organization.

5. Lead Generation

-Develop and lead strategy that integrates content marketing for lead generation, social media and marketing communications

You Must Have:

  • Min. 5 years of experience in copywriting, social media, journalism and/or communications
  • Strong writing skills
  • College Degree
  • A portfolio of existing work

  • Possesses working knowledge and real-world experience in planning, managing, executing social media initiatives
  • Ability to work in large, highly-matrixed corporation
  • Track record in writing, editing and publishing content for the social media space including follow-up commenting/conversations
  • Writing, verbal and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Digital Marketing current best practices
  • Understanding of content management systems
  • High-energy, creative and resourceful self-starter who demonstrates leadership skills and instincts
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work as a team, take direction and move forward
