Research Technician

Provide laboratory support for the various R&D Functional Teams in Technology. Your work will include support for lab experiments, property testing, calculations, data analysis, maintaining records, and the accurate reporting of data. You will support the team to conceptualize, design, plan and implement innovative technologies that enable new and competitive products. You will monitor and operate up to kilo-scale chemical processes under the direction of chemist or chemical engineer.

Technical skills: Requires education and/or experience in chemistry and chemical processes related to: catalytic reactions, distillations, neutralization's, and handling highly hazardous materials. Must have good mechanical aptitude in order to understand and troubleshoot the various equipment utilized in the processes listed above. Must demonstrate ability to learn and use analytical equipment needed in support of processes including Gas-chromatography and other laboratory instruments. Computer experience with Windows XP operating system, Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and computerized process control software is preferred.

Able to work Rotating 8 hour shift and wear all PPE and respiratory equipment

20 Documentation of experiments

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Minimum of a two year Chemical Technology Degree required

  • Four year Chemistry related degree is preferred
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Handling of chemicals andother hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals is required
