Lead a team of talented engineers that develop firmware for a variety of embedded products. You will create project and technical reports as required and help define product architecture as needed. You will participate in schematic/layout review process and test and evaluate prototypes from initial engineering samples to mass production. You will ensure your team helps maintain firmware servers and develop tools for internal use, including scripts and basic hardware interfaces. You will aid in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of Honeywell's customers.

Responsibilities

•Include collaborating with hardware product design engineers and other software developers,

•Work with marketing on definition of product and system requirements,

•Collaborate with operations teams to assure the voice of the customer is represented in new and improved designs,

•Work with source on selection and development of suppliers.

•Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training employees and developing personal growth opportunities.

Qualifications

•BS degree in Computer Engineering or Electronic Engineering, Master degree is a plus.

•Minimum 10 years of experience in embedded software development utilizing "C/C++/C sharp" languages and software product development for high-volume production.

•Experience with 8 and 16 bit microcontrollers is required. ARM is a plus.

•Experience with Atmel microprocessors and IAR Systems compiler a plus

•Experience with TI, Microchip, etc microprocessor is useful as well.

•Bilingual English/Spanish with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•Experienced in the use of MS Office suite, MS Project, Visio and Adobe Acrobat.

•Strong multitasking capability

•Abilities to excel in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.

•Ability to work independently, and within a global organization

•Ability to travel as required (occasionally for extended periods)

•Organized with the ability to manage a diverse workload

•Organized and thorough in release of required documentation

•Familiar with any CMMI compliant software development processes a plus, as well as the tools associated to such processes (i.e. Subversion, Jira, Enterprise Architect, Contour, Crucible, etc)

•Engineering tools experience (i.e. Expedition, etc.) a plus

•Knowledge of Six Sigma/ Lean Manufacturing a plus.
