This is a Sensor Design position whose primary focus is a combination of Legacy Product Maintenance as well as New Product Introductions at for Honeywell's factories around the globe. This position is located in Columbus Ohio and has Engineering Project Management responsibility. This position supports SIoT’s Test and Measurement Torque product lines. Direct the activities of a globally distributed Engineering Team to assure completion of assigned engineering programs. These activities include, value engineering, factory and customer support, parts obsolescence and reliability issues, new product development/introduction and staying within approved schedule and cost constraints and within established company policies, practices and procedures. Effectively interface with the remote engineering teams located in the India, China & Mexico as well as the cross-functional organization to complete activities for all assigned products and meet site commitments and objectives. Provide inputs for departmental budget and strategic planning. Disseminate information to the team, and champion change.

Manage multiple projects to drive results, remove barriers, and maintain a bias for action. Be tactful, direct, and consistent in the handling of performance and technical issues. Devise and implement training processes for both new and experienced employees.

Demonstrate commitment and involvement in promoting employee safety and a safe work environment.

Ensure safe work practices are used through audits and active involvement with HSE.

Promote positive employee relations, and proactively manage attrition.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelors Degree in Science or Engineering
  • 7 years of Hardware development experience
  • 3 years Project leadership experience

  • Experience working with cross-functional/multi-cultural teams, participating in resource planning processes, and human resource development
  • Experience/ design knowledge of both analog and digital circuits/electronics
  • A global mindset, preferably having worked with teams in more than one region.
  • Self-starter, with excellent communication skills.
  • Travel 5% (including internationally)
  • Ability to successfully manage resources and projects remotely.
  • Highly customer focused, able to influence and negotiate
