The Materials Manager will lead the logistics and planning departments. The Material Manager needs to ensure that customer demand and forecast are planned within the factory to maximize delivery response through material and labor availability. This must be done while ensuring minimum inventory, cost and waste. Lead, coach and motivate employees in Logistics and Planning to create a continuous improvement culture in accordance with the Honeywell Operation System.
Work with EFS SIOP leader to develop & maintain a strong SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations) Planning process:
Responsible for ERP System. Master Schedule to be loaded over an 18 month forecast horizon in line with AOP/SIOP minimum horizon:
Manage accurate inventory records with timely transaction processing on ERP system
25 Lead team to meet metrics
25 Develop and optimize material management procedures
25 Improve Honeywell Operating System maturity
25 Engage in new production introduction (NPI) activities
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or supply chain management preferred (HBO)
Thorough knowledge and experience (5-7 years) in Manufacturing/Planning/Materials/Supply Chain Management.
Extensive knowledge of MPS/MRP.
Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Advanced ability to effectively problem-solve within multi-disciplined teams, communicate (orally and in writing), lead business discussions and train others.
Strong leadership skills, experience as people manager
Change management experience
Strong organizational skill-set
Experience in cross functional teams
Excellent communication skills
Fluent written and spoken Dutch and English language skills required.
