Project Application Engineer

The Project Application Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with the executing of the Technical delivery of assigned HVAC projects.

Responsibilities:

Programming regarding to the engineered document (coming from PM/PS)

He must ensure that all testing and verification documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manor so that all items that are reported to have been tested will be correct when assessed by an independent person such as a consultant.

In some small plants he can be responsible for coordinating the input of various key internal and external stakeholders, including ownership of any subcontract designs (e.g. Panels), they must have good communications skills.

In this case The Application Engineer will typically own the production and coordination of the Tier 2 engineering / design submittal.This typically includes:

  • Tier 2 Submittal
  • I/O data point List
  • Equipment Schedule & Schematics
  • Device / Wiring Layout Drawings
  • Functional Specifications
  • Method statements (Project Specific)
  • Installation
  • Commissioning
  • Demonstration / Acceptance
  • Training Handover Documentation

    20 Programming regarding to the engineered document

    20 ensure that all testing and verification documentation is completed

    20 coordinating the input of various key internal and external stakeholders

    20 support the Project Manager or project supervisor in his Change Order Management activities

    20 complete off site testing to confirm operational effectiveness

They will also convert the above functional specification document into an operational system then complete off site testing to confirm operational effectiveness.

They will use Change Control logs to create a full audit trail of all design changes in order to support the Project Manager or project supervisor in his Change Order Management activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of experience in HVAC projects, with extensive on-site knowledge
  • Ability to plan and schedule large projects
  • Self-starting, able to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Willing to develop extensive product knowledge in formal training, and in “on the job” environments, working with latest Honeywell technology
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication - both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment
  • Ability to identify technical solutions to customers’ business needs
  • Can fluently speak and write in at least Dutch - English, French - English
