This is an incredibly exciting time to join the Homes and Global Distribution team at Honeywell! Homes and Global Distribution is a leader in the home heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) controls and security markets, and a leading global distributor of security and fire protection products.

In 2018, Honeywell will be spinning off the Homes and Global Distribution business into a stand-alone, publicly traded company. Being a stand-alone company will provide the business the independence, focus, direct financial resources, and flexibility required to adapt quickly to market and customer dynamics, and we want you to be part of its evolution

ADI Global Distribution is hiring a Sales Representative who will ask the right questions, uncover new opportunities, and drive the kind of sales that result in long-term customer relationships.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a driven and proactive individual to join our branch in Enfield as a branch sales assistant. This is an exciting and varied role where you will have the opportunity to work with our customers in a face to face capacity and also via the telephone on a day to day basis selling some of the most cutting edge technology in security. If you enjoy working within sales, commissions, and thrive off the deal being done, we want to hear from you!

What will you be doing every day?

  • Ask probing questions to new and existing customers, uncovering new sales and service opportunities.
  • Create and close sales orders face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Convert opportunities to orders via phone, in person, and at industry events.
  • Uncover and build new business relationships.
  • Strengthen current business relationships through world-class service and product recommendation.
  • Negotiate price while creating orders or quotes.
  • Research and resolve customer concerns,
  • Provide basic product knowledge, sales literature, and arrange for additional, specialised customer training as needed.
  • Execute on ADI’s robust branch operational plan ensuring customer satisfaction, data integrity, financial security, inventory planning and accuracy, and overall performance

What skills and requirements do you need?

  • You must have previous sales experience and be comfortable working in a commissioned driven environment
  • We need you to be confident and able to deal with our customers in person and over the phone
  • You need to be very reliable and a team player
  • Previous experience within a trades environment would be beneficial
  • You need to be computer literate
  • SAP knowledge is desired, but not essential
