We have a new opportunity in SPS for a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager in Fairfield, OH, USA.

As the HSE Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:Lead the execution of the SPS, Health, Safety and Environmental vision and strategy, by deploying the HSE Management Systems.Partner with the SPS HSE regional manager to achieve the SPS goals and objectives.Responsible for ensuring that assigned SPS and corporate Honeywell HSE initiatives and programs are successfully deployed.Ensure programs are in place to identify risks; implement operational controls to minimize and/or eliminate risks; monitor governance programs to ensure operational controls are effective; act and communicate on initiatives to improve the site’s HSE management system. As a successful candidate, you will deploy an effective Health, Safety and Environmental management system, maintain regulatory compliance and improve overall HSE culture within the business. You will actively participate as a valued member of the operations teams to provide HSE leadership, guidance and technical support.Your responsibilities include the following key components:Ability to influence at all levels of the ISC and HSE organization through partnership and developing strong direct and indirect relationships.Decisive decision maker who promptly deals with issues. Ability to grasp technical and site HSE issues and risks and turn into site ISC site action plans Solid level of Business Acumen, able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the integrated relationships across the ISC support functions.Deploy HSE management system; by establishing Annual Operating Plans and long term version towards deploying programs to achieve optimum HSE results, measured through a monthly report card; verified through governances programs; provide guidance, support, and status to senior/regional ISC & HSE leadership in order to direct resources towards obtaining a safe and environmentally responsible workplace in compliance with Honeywell and federal/state requirements.Deploy SPS Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems to ensure compliance with corporate requirements. Partner with leaders to continuously improve HSE culture, awareness and accountability systems. Lead and participates in various project teams.Develop and deploy HSE procedures, training, internal and external communications in concert with Corporate, business and regulatory requirements.Support incident investigation activities, root cause analysis, corrective action identification and closure.Work closely with leaders to measure and communicate HSE performance.Monitor trends and champions injury/illness reduction.Implement strategies and tactics for successful management of injury/illness cases and costs reductions.Participate in HSE inspections, self-assessments, and audits.Present findings to management and prepares applicable reports.Track corrective actions to closure.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 or more years of health, safety, and environmental experience, with progressively increasing responsibility.
  • 2 more years of manufacturing experience.
  • Degree in safety, environment, engineering or related field required.
  • Certification in safety, health, or environmental field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Experience is highly preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of HSE regulatory requirements and professional best practices.
  • Mature judgment and decision-making ability, with strategic and tactical HSE experience.
  • Must have exceptional skills in building interpersonal relationships, including high degree of tact, diplomacy and ability to influence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (training/presentation, leadership coaching, facilitation, team collaboration, communication).
  • Experience participating in audits and implementing HSE management systems.
