We are seeking a Sr Electrical Design Engineer to join our product design team at our Freeport, IL facility.
This person will be working in the New Product Development team on sensor design projects within Honeywell’s Sensing and IoT business. These sensors will integrate Honeywell’s leading edge sensor technology with advanced signal conditioning and control circuits to develop new products to be used in Transportation, Aerospace, Medical, Industrial, and Commercial applications. This person will be a key member of the engineering team that develops magnetic sensors, pressure sensors and other strategic technology developments. The ideal candidate will bring experience in developing lab-level sensor control and signal collection to embedded systems within NPD cycles. Candidates with new product development (NPD) and sensor design experience are preferred. Relocation is available for this position.
Support Honeywell Sensing Group to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers. You will work under limited supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation products by designing, testing and validating products/processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs while acting as a mentor to more junior engineers. You will interact with internal and external customers in order to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications.

YOU MUST HAVE :
BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
Some design & build experience with electronic circuits, laboratory instrumentation, and component testing.
Some experience with design and implementation of hardware and software for various applications.
U.S. citizen or permanent resident status is required
Some years of sensor electrical design engineering experience.
Some years of experience with sensor signal conditioning, ADC’s, ASIC's and microcontrollers in products, circuits, and systems.
Highly skilled in circuits and systems for laboratory instrumentation (e.g. multi-meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition hardware).
Highly skilled in MATLAB, Lab VIEW, C++, C, and/or Visual Basic.
Familiarity with electrochemistry & other chemical sensor transduction mechanisms
Experience in digital compensation techniques.e
Experience with hardware (electronics, embedded devices, circuit design) and/or firmware (HDL/embedded C programming).
Master’s degree in electrical engineering preferred.
Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills.
Proficient with MS Office Professional programs Excel, Powerpoint, and Word.
