Electrical Technologist

Electronic Technologists perform installation, replacement, repair and troubleshooting

maintenance of electric circuitry associated with production and facility equipment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Hook up power, lighting and temperature controls(switch, lights, relays, etc.).
  • Determine appropriate components, wire size,protective covering and wiring layout.
  • Diagnose problems quickly to identify the causesof problems and determine effective courses of action to avoid extended periodsof equipment downtime.
  • Report serious trouble to Supervisor in a timely manner to expedite additional resources asneeded.
  • Order supplies as required.
  • Embrace and engage in the Honeywell Operating System(HOS) including activities, but not limited to Safety & BehavioralObservation Process (BOP), 5S, Continuous Improvement (Kaizen), TieredAccountability Process, Standard Work, Rapid Problem Solving (RPS), Built InQuality (BIQ), Coaching, Total productive Maintenance (TPM) and KnowledgeSharing.The work environment includes exposure to dust, heat, and humidity.

    20 Perform testing of equipment

    20 Perform routine maintenance task

    20 Review drawings and schematics

    20 Perform preventative maintenance inspections

    20 Determine root cause failure of equipment

Must Have:

  • Must have a Minnesota Journeyman’s License.
  • Training and/or experience working with thefollowing: Programmable Logic Controllers, Variable Frequency Drives, AutomationControls, Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel)

  • Understanding of Ohms Law, read blueprints,wiring diagrams and schematic drawings.
  • Ability to work with advanced mathematics, all types of circuit drawings and test equipment.
  • Ability to use computers and computer interfaces
