The MRB Principal Engineer role will be in the Greer, South Carolina facility and will report to the PSE Production Support Engineering Manager located in Phoenix, AZ. This role will be responsible for both the tactical and strategic initiatives at the Greer SC facility.

Lead MRB activities impacting the Greer SC site and provide backup support for the MRB team at the Phoenix Engines facility

Work closely with Operations & Quality to control & reduce MRB activity using root cause analysis & corrective action response

MRB Engineering manufacturing support consists of Engines hardware (static & rotating components). Materials will include forgings, castings, rings, bar stock & non-metallic

Manufacturing processes will include machining, welding, special processes & quality processes including a variety of inspection methods

Engineering MRB Support Engines Manufacturing Operations & Supply base while maintaining type design & engineering design intent

Provide General Factory and DMAIC program support at the Greer SC facility

Work independently & effectively in cross functional teams

Leading & Participating productivity improvements from an Engineering perspective & work flow including reviewing Engineering change requests prior to submission

Integration with ISC effort including Honeywell Operating System events to review proposed processing changes to ensure product integrity

Provide support of program cost, schedule, performance & risk mitigation

Drives execution of Engineering MRB & mitigates risk in a timely manner

Lead, influence and motivate others, provides direction, removes barriers. Participates & Leads high impact teams

20 Prepare and complete action plans

20 Implement production

20 Customer-service standards completing audits

20 Determine system improvement

20 Addresses barriers

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8 years’ design experience on aircraft engine components

  • Approved member of the Phoenix MRB Board as an MRB-Engineer
  • Experience working with Cross Functional Teams

  • Communicates effectively in English (oral & written)
  • Knowledge of Engines design practices & qualification requirements
  • Knowledge of Process and Product Qualifications
