SPECIALIST/ ASSISTANT MANAGER – FINANCE, CSR, HONEYWELL HOMETOWN SOLUTIONS INDIA FOUNDATION
Honeywell India is committed to serve the communities it works among through several Honeywell Hometown Solutions (HHS) initiatives in the areas of science and math education, family safety and security, and environmental sustainability. In addition, Honeywell volunteers contribute time and effort via various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities that are managed and delivered locally at and around Honeywell India sites.
To unite these activities into a powerful One Honeywell initiative that delivers real, measurable, and sustainable impact for its communities, Honeywell India has created a not-for-profit entity named Honeywell Hometown Solutions India Foundation. The Foundation receives funding from Honeywell India entities and seeks, builds, and partners with credible NGO networks to deliver meaningful outcomes for its stakeholders.
The Assistant Manager, Finance – CSR is responsible for all financial management for the Honeywell Hometown Solutions India Foundation (HHSIF) entity, which is an independent, not-for-profit entity at Honeywell India. Theincumbentwill be responsible for deploying, tracking, monitoring, and auditing project spending for HHSIF. He / she will also be responsible for reporting financials to the Honeywell India entities that will fund the Foundation. This is a unique opportunity to drive financial management and rigor for impactful CSR programs that will support communities in alignment with Honeywell’s business goals, culture, and values. This is a critical executive position, which will report to the North India Finance Leader as part of the one country finance model, and matrix report to the senior manager – CSR, HHSIF.
Month end closing and statutory financials
§ Lead the process of preparing consolidated financial statements of the Foundation by planning and coordinating with contributing business entities, and statutory auditors to get statutory financials audited within given timeline.
§ Ensure completion of the Foundation’s tax audit and income tax return filing along with transfer pricing certification as per timelines decided by corporate tax.
§ Complete the Foundation’s deferred tax workbook and tax package within given timeline.
§ Ensure timely submission of information and data to internal and statutory auditors and consultants for audits and tax assessments.
§ Lead financial reporting and month end closing process for the Foundation, by way of checking the financials of units live on SAP, performing trend analysis, variance analysis for P&L and balance sheet items.
§ Prepare accounts in compliance with Indian GAAP, US GAAP and Honeywell Accounting Policies.
Controllership and statutory compliances
§ Execute Honeywell internal audit plan for HHSIF and NGO partners.
§ Ensure timely deposit of all statutory dues and submission of returns relating to direct & indirect tax, (TDS, Service tax, PF etc.)
§ Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations on monthly basis and ensure no accumulation of P&L items in balance sheet.
§ Ensure account reconciliations are completed within timeline.
§ Complete all compliances for the Foundation per controllership policies. Escalate and implement corrective action plan for any deviation observed.
§ Maintain internal controls and processes for all legal entities and periodic reporting to Entity Controllers to ensure their respective statutory compliances with regard to CSR are met.
§ Prepare AOP/Budget for the CSR entity and adequately monitor the actual spends and report variance /justification on periodic basis.
§ Strong accounting fundamentals to ensure adherence for the CSR entities as well as proper accounting process adoption for contributing entities.
§ Maintain a schedule of release of payments to NGO partners based on project milestones and other control mechanisms.
§ Responsible for income tax planning, compliance, returns and assessments.
§ Basic knowledge of Accounting and Companies Act related to CSR.

Professional experience / qualifications
§ Finance graduate, 7 to 10 years
§ Chartered accountant, 3 to 4 years
§ Ability to work with Finance counterparts of NGOs to recognize spends and gather up to date information for review by management.
§ Ability to work with Controllers of large entities and provide necessary information as required for their statutory compliance purposes.
§ Strong executive presence, and communication and presentation skills.
