As the Lead Data Scientist, you would be responsible for developing new predictive analytics capabilities in Aircraft Maintenance and Flight Operations areas using deep knowledge of core data science and data architecture. Working closely with global analytics team, aerospace domain experts and customer engagement managers, you will be expected to constantly innovate and evolve capabilities of self and the team in the interest of coming up with new solutions that create a measurable value to the end customer, airlines in this case. Being a senior technical leadership roles, it is expected to demonstrate role model behaviors and adaptability to Honeywell culture of mutual respect, while acting with urgency and agility that is characteristic of startups.
Experience and characteristics, we are looking include :
The candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record Experience with Big Data processing frameworks and open source tools and technologies. Candidate must be organized and analytical, adapt to working in a team environment, able to design, implement a project and able to handle multiple priorities.
System/Data Integration , Machine Learning Algorithms, Cloud Computing, Data Visualization/Presentation (Tableau, Spotfire, Qlikview, d3.js). Proficiency with UNIX/LINUX environments. Proficiency with Azure and similar framework. Experience in working with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend and/or Pentaho.

M.E / M.Tech or PhD degree in
Computer Science or Aeronautical or Statistics preferred with 12+ years of
We value experience in Aviation/Aerospace
domain. Hands on experience on extracting data from Aircraft units and
performing predictive analysis.
Experience with modeling software
(R, Java, Python, SPSS, SAS)
Research Mindset and able to
understand the business requirements and converting them into solution
Troubleshooting skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills
