Conceptualize, design and develop products and systems as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team. You will be a key technical focal point across Honeywell SATCOM engineering teams creating solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. By collaborating with customers and broader engineering teams, you will influence design directions and development methodology. As a technical expert, you will leverage advanced tools and simulation techniques to deliver high impact business results while acting as a technical leader and coach for other engineers. You will also contribute to new products through interaction with system architects, hardware and software designers, system integration engineers, and project engineers.

Job Responsibilities include the following:
Requirements Management: Analysis and translation of customer requirements/industry standard into System & equipment level specifications. Preparation of specification documents including, hardware and software requirement specifications, ICD’s, traceability & impact analysis of changes to the requirements.
Design and Implementation Oversight: Close co-operation with hardware, software and mechanical teams to ensure requirements are implemented efficiently and are testable and verifiable. Conduct risk assessment, mitigation planning, risk monitoring and control. Create presentations using MS Power Point to communicate systems design and architecture to senior management, internal stakeholders and the customer during Phase Gate reviews.
System Integration and Verification/Certification Support: Have a firm understanding of systems requirements development and flow down to systems integration test plans and procedures. Must be able to develop a systems integration plan, direct an integration team in the execution of the plans and procedures. A significant contribution is provided to the certification and verification group in its preparation of verification and certification documents including requirements traceability.

YOU MUST HAVE
•Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Systems/Computer)
•5+ years of engineering experience
•Avionics and Electronic Air-interface Transceivers, including RF systems
•Technical leadership in transceiver architecture /network applications from a Systems, Hardware and Software prospective. (SATCOM Experience desired)
•Secure RTCA/DO-178B S/W certification
•RTCA/DO-254 H/W certification and RTCA/DO-210
•ARNIC 781/791 standards
•RTCA/DO-160 and other environmental test standards
•Working with FAA to secure certification and TSO
•Inmarsat and Iridium standards
•Protocols – specifically TCP/IP, SNMP, TFTP, IP protocol Stacks
•Various interfaces – ARINC, RS-232, RS-422, USB, Ethernet
•Requirements management in DOORS or JAMA
•Enterprise Architect tool
•Agile software development
