Sr Field Service Engineer

Provide field service on Automation equipment within a specified region in Central Canada for the Pulp and Paper and Continuous Web Systems industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Preventive and Predictive Maintenance of QCS/CWS/DCS Automation equipment for Honeywell Customers
  • Ability to work effectively with Customers and Honeywell technical support
  • Effectively manage Customer issues through onsite response, telephone support and via remote access technology
  • Ability to perform work in hot, humid environments of a pulp or paper mill
  • Lifting, bending and working at heights required for maintenance activities
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage Customer expectations
  • Develop strong Customer relationships through regular contact and visits
  • Good understanding of networking and computers
  • Instrumentation and Control basics knowledge
  • Manage technical problems and be a leader in triaging issues for the Customer
  • Provide exceptional Customer service and communicate the value added by your contribution
  • Prepare concise, well written service reports for contract and demand Customer support work
  • 24 hour 0n-call support required on a rotating basis with other Regional technicians.
  • Primarily work within a mill or industrial manufacturing work site.

    35 Preventive and Predictive Maintenance of QCS/CWS/DCS Automation equipment for Customers

    15 Manage Customer issues through onsite response, telephone support and remote access technology

    20 Develop Customer relationships through regular visits and Manage technical problems

    20 Prepare service reports and 24 hour 0n-call support required on a rotating basis

    10 Project work

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Minimum of 2-year diploma in Instrument, Electronics or Computer Science.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
WE VALUE
  • Priority given to those with 3+ year experience servicing and troubleshooting Electronics QCS/DCS/CWS scanning systems.
  • Beneficial to have good knowledge of instrumentation, electrical, and networking.
  • Beneficial to have experience in the Pulp and Paper industry or continuous web manufacturing.

​Travel: 25%.

Eligible for Overtime.

On-Call (Standby) Pay extra.
