User Experience Researcher

We are HUE (Honeywell User Experience), a team responsible for delivering differentiated designs that strengthens the Honeywell brand, and provides additional value and growth for our products. We are part of HTS (Honeywell Technology Solutions), the engineering branch that supports all businesses inside Honeywell. We need strong team members who can handle multiple ongoing programs that result in great experiences for our users.

You will work in an interdisciplinary environment with Design and Engineering experts, establishing strong partnerships with Marketing and Business functions, to enable successful design solutions. Your goal is to define human-centered principles and design requirements to ensure that Honeywell products and applications are the most useful, usable and desirable products in the Latin America marketplace. You will be accountable for using UX research methodologies to collect and synthesize first-hand user’s insights to support hardware and software projects for Building products & applications.

You will have to:

  • Act as a user advocate, working with cross-functional teams across the organization, to help innovate, improve or refine Honeywell customer experience on a continual basis
  • Gather end-user requirements and insights to ensure product delightness and usability
  • Plan, conduct, analyze and report research (i.e. observational, generative, evaluative) and use-case studies (i.e. usability testing, prototype, heuristic analysis)
  • Participate in defining detailed design specifications and endorsing project parameters
  • Provide innovative ideas to drive improvements across customer experience lifecycle
  • Collaborate to generate engaging end-to-end experiences

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Interaction Design, Product Research or related field
  • Proficiency in UX research methods and user-centered best practices for digital and physical product design
  • Excellent skills to analyze, summarize and present quantitative and qualitative data with clear workflow design and information architecture
  • Use of specialized software for data visualization (Adobe Suite, at least Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in conceptualizing and sketching mental models or concepts
  • Plus: Competitive Analysis, Data Analytics or Design Thinking diploma
  • Must be a curious, highly self-motivated person, with good interpersonal skills and a can-do/positive attitude to work under pressure
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Travel availability is required to perform customer visits and on-site observation
