Responsibilities:

Design, program, test and commission automation instrumentation and control systems.

Manage projects that involve complicated electrical and control systems.

Maintain awareness of new capabilities and technologies.

Manage external consultants and contractors in the design and installation of Electrical and Control systems.

Collaborate with Electrical Designers and Mechanical Engineers on all projects.

Ensure that projects are completed on time and budget and to the highest levels of safety and quality.

Participate in system concept development and estimating.

Perform other related duties as required.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Diploma in Controls or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in Integrated Systems
WE VALUE
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • P. Eng Designation
  • Mechanical/Electrical systems knowledge
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Solid understanding and working knowledge of PLC and HMI logic
  • Experience in industrial controls and automation systems an asset
  • Proven ability to design and interpret electrical drawings, control drawings andschematics for automated systems
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Proven analytical, trouble shooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective organizational, time management and detail-orientation skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, taking initiative and prioritizing work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
