PMT Sr. Director - Global Logistics Operations

Reporting Structure:

This position will report directly to the PMT VP - Supply Chain Planning and Logistics.

Position Scope:

This position will be dedicated to leading all global logistics activities for the PMT SBG which will include direct management of the PMT Logistics Groups in all regions and matrix leadership of the SBU Logistics Leaders and other Logistics/Finance functional leaders. Will drive efficiency improvements and productivity for logistics, warehousing, dangerous goods compliance, transportation emergency

response, packaging, transport equipment maintenance and testing compliance and 4PL operations. Will provide guidance for all areas of responsibility to senior leaders of the businesses, as well as peers across all functions in the SBG/SBU groups. Actively participates in a Honeywell-wide Global Logistics Council with other SBG Logistics Operations Leaders, as well as those from the Corporate Logistics Operations and Procurement organizations to ensure coordinated strategies and processes across the Corporation.

Function details:

Primary responsibility will be to lead the overall SBG process for Freight (inbound & outbound), Distribution, Dangerous Goods Compliance, Emergency Response and Packaging; encompassing all sites globally, including factories, tollers, warehousing/storage sites, and 3PL/4PL partners.

Partner with Manufacturing, HS&E, Sourcing, IT, SIOP, Finance, and Sales to provide

a transportation and distribution strategy that meets the needs of all businesses.

Oversee the annual consolidated PMT Logistics STRAP and AOP process and to include the final

documents in coordination with the finance group and SBU logistics Leaders.

Drive the monthly spend and productivity reporting and review processes across all

businesses.

Act as the primary functional Logistics SME to the ISC and PMT Senior Leadership Team to include attendance at MOR and BDW reviews.

Represent PMT with the Corporate Operations and Procurement groups on HON-wide leadership

councils.

Responsible to provide functional leadership and support to develop and improve the professional

capabilities and succession planning for the PMT Logistics group, as well as all the other Logistics Leaders in the SBUs.

Drive the overall efficiency of global PMT logistics operations in the businesses by expanding the implementation and operational capabilities of the 4PL provider and their

personnel.

Provide guidance and coaching to the global Dangerous Goods (DG)/Transportation Emergency Response (TER) group that drives a PMT-wide strategy to ensure there are strong compliance, training and auditing processes in place globally for both operations.

Ensure there are processes in place to drive safety, compliance, efficiency, productivity and auditing for the private truck, rail, highway transport container and small returnable container fleets.

Drive carrier and other 3rd party provider performance review and invoice payment processes in conjunction with the Corporate Procurement organizations.

Oversee a comprehensive global PMT-wide packaging determination, engineering and

qualification organization and process to support all manufacturing and procurement organizations

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics Operations

15+ years global, multi-modal logistics (transportation & distribution)/supply chain experience

Additional Qualifications:

Proven leadership record with a global and cross-functional workforce

In depth knowledge of logistics operations and management

Strong customer focus and ability to execute whatever is required

Proven management skills of logistics spend and productivity processes

Proven record of global, cross-functional team management

Strong presentation and overall communication skills

Global experience with Dangerous Goods Transportation Regulatory Compliance

Six Sigma certification a plus

APICS certification a plus
