Honeywell is currently looking for a Journeyman Fitter to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK. This position requires preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical and controls systems in commercial/industrial facilities. The main function of this position is to respond and resolve service calls providing technical support and troubleshooting to Honeywell customers.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Maintains positive customer relations by communicating well, maintaining a positive attitude, delivering to customer requirements, being timely, efficient, effective and continually looking for ways to improve quality.
  • Answers emergency service calls as directed.
  • Accomplishes authorized repairs or replacement of units as directed by supervisors.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance as assigned under contract agreements, inspecting, and cleaning mechanical components and otherwise checking-out equipment to ensure satisfactory working order.
  • Perform simple and complex repairs on Centrifugal Chillers/Air Dryers and industrial HVACR equipment/systems as directed by supervisors.
  • Manage subcontractors to complete small service jobs.
  • Schedule, and complete monthly pm work for assigned customers.
  • Complete electronic work orders and time entry on a daily basis.
  • Maintain, monitor, repair and conduct routine preventive maintenance for the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems and equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of HVACR equipment.
  • Conduct all scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance including replacing mechanical seals, re-packing pumps and valves, replacing bearings and belts, checking for proper alignment, repairing fan coil units, brazing and soldering, calibrating controls, working on pressure vessels, replacing piping and fittings.
  • Conduct all scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance including inspecting, testing, repairing and replacing steam traps.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance and repairs.
  • Completes and submits service reports that include a statement of work accomplishments and includes the customers approved signature.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 5 years’ experience servicing commercial equipment including boilers (oil and gas, hot water and steam), steam traps, chillers, pumps, air handlers, package rooftop units and air compressors.
  • Universal CFC card.
  • Journeyman Member of the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 344 or willing to join.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain clearance to work at Tinker AFB.
WE VALUE
  • Associates Degree.
  • EPA certification card.
  • Boiler Operators License.
  • HVACR mechanical and/or a control systems background including excellent electronic, organizational, communication and computer skills.
