Honeywell is on the leading edge of supplying engineering and manufacturing expertise for our nation's defense and national security.This highly visible role will provide you with an opportunity to showcase your ability to manage a high functioning group while interfacing with Sr. Leadership to positively influence current execution and future objectives.A Technical Manager in the Engineering Business Inititatives department will lead their team to develop, implement and monitor processes for Basis of Estimate, Project Management, FYNSP, direct and indirect headcount planning and Product Realization.As the leader of Engineering Monthly Operations Review, this Technical Manager will have the opportunity to interact with and influence the Sr. Management team on a ongoing basis, providing data driven analysis to support their proposals.This Technical Manager will also partner with their Systems Engineering partners to effectively manage Technical and Financial responsibilities for the Engineering Division.
Summary of Duties:
·Provides work assignments that are supportive of mission and objectives.
·Champions initiatives to resolve critical processes and technological-related issues.
·Assures individual project accomplishments and overall work unit effectiveness are achieved relative to committed objectives.Provides leadership for staff development and holds them accountable to meet personal and business objectives.
·Provides technical and administrative evaluation of work unit's goals, development, and performance.
·Develops and implements staffing plans and budget proposals consistent with anticipated workloads.
·Assures adequate support services are provided by other organizations as required.
·Encourages and facilitates internal and external teamwork and promotes customer service.
·Implements business practices, metrics, and procedures to assure total quality of the products and services provided by the work unit.
·Provides project management oversight to achieve quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
·Creates vision and strategy to achieve innovations and technological advances that improve quality, reduce flow-time, improve productivity, and enhance operational surety.
·Directly supervises employees and performs other managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
·Uses business knowledge to evaluate and prioritize business opportunities base.

You Must Have:
·U.S. citizenship in order to obtain and maintain US Dept of Energy "Q"-level government security clearance.
·BS in Engineering (ChE, EE, IE, ME, Materials, Systems) from ABET accredited institution.
·Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Engineering or related technical activities, including application of advanced engineering principles and technology related to highly complex technical assignments.
·Minimum 5 years of experience executing complex project management in a technical or operations role.
·MS in Engineering (Che, EE, IE, ME, Materials, Systems, Management) from an ABET accredited institution.
·Experience in or equivalent to project management.
·Well established knowledge and applied understanding (10 or more years) of FM&T engineering business and technology processes and applications.
·History of applied comprehensive functional and cross-functional analysis, project development/planning, negotiation and execution.
·Six Sigma Greenbelt, Six Sigma Blackbelt or Lean Certification.
·Experience with entire product life cycle.
