Sr. Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Join a team that applies its technical expertise and knowledge to ensure products that are produced with high quality and efficiency. You will be the technical lead with responsibility for product and process application. You will ensure product integrity manufacturing output and continuous improvements working with factory operations.

Evaluates complex manufacturing processes by conducting process analysis, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials and conferring with suppliers to overcome technical barriers to quality and delivery

Interfaces with customers, design agency personnel, suppliers, and internal organizations to resolve design, development, and production issues across multiple and concurrent assignments

Develop effective relationships with supplier’s business and technical leaders

Work with project teams to ensure that new products are designed for manufacturability

Deliver on both day-to-day tactical requirements in support of production needs as well as envisioning and articulating strategic views of suppliers and emerging technical needs

Approximately 10% domestic/international travel

20 Develop new techniques and analytical tools

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or in lieu of degree, 8 years’ engineering experience with product testing

WE VALUE

  • Project engineering experience with APUs, propulsion engines, or other complex mechanical systems
  • Ability to lead and function in multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to communicate and interact with customers
  • Demonstrates a bias for action and ability to work independently
  • Experience with product test, knowledge of thermal processes, welding and brazing, finishes and coatings, non-destructive testing, fabrication, machining, composites and other common processes common in the aerospace and defense industries
