What are we looking for?

The role of the Program Manager Lead for New Product Introduction (NPI) is critical to drive NPI execution to support Gas Sensing LoB STRAP NPI growth of $250M+. Several critical platform NPI projects are active and planned, that need an energetic PM to drive flawless execution. This role will also drive PMO best practices like NPI process, Accolade Tool, Cycle Time reduction, Milestone Fidelity etc into NPI portfolio execution. The successful individual will also act as the business partner to drive processes like prePAC and VPD metrics measurement and tracking for example NPI revenue, Margin, Vitality etc. This position will be based at our HQ in Portsmouth, which is a major design and manufacturing hub.

What will you be doing every day?

•Owns execution of NPI program portfolio for Gas Sensing Line of Business

•Responsible for delivering all projects to commitments for on-schedule, on-cost, on-budget and on-quality

•Meticulous planning, executing to the plan by rigorous tracking to meet all key milestone dates

•Accurate status reporting of metrics like Phase Gate compliance, Cycle Time, Quality data etc.

•Effective management of all stakeholders

•Provide accurate and timely project status information, milestones and metrics to key stakeholders –

•Manage project team and facilitate communications within team to meet program objectives

•Deploy and leverage Program & Portfolio Management Tools

•Directing and developing the establishment & execution of detailed plans to ensure risk mitigation and opportunities realization

•Understand NPI mandatory & non-mandatory deliverables, process in-detail, and drive all NPI programs as per NPI Process

•Lead, manage, and collaborate with cross-functional/global teams effectively to meet program objective

•Establishes professional relationships with global program managers and functional leadership to ensure smooth execution of projects

What skills and Experience do you need?

•You must have a degree within an engineering/scientific/Technical field.

•You must have an extensive, and proven background within NPI environment

•You must have extensive experience within a program management role with demonstrated success of leading large projects from concept to launch

•You will have strong cross functional team management skills

•Expert in using Microsoft Project, and other scheduling tools

•You will be fluent in working with Stage Gated NPI Processes

•Sound knowledge of Agile/Lean methodologies

•Solid communication and influencing skills within stakeholder management

•Ability and willing to coach and mentor program managers
