Advanced Field Installation Specialist

As an installation technician you will:

  1. Commission, test, trouble-shoot, and validate various controls systems, primarily HVAC systems then potentially Fire and Access Control. This includes:
  • Download software to controllers.
  • Perform point-to-point checkouts to insure connectivity between field devices and controllers.
  • Quality control checks, discover any faults in the systems, determine, organize, and execute quick resolutions.
  • Work with and oversee Honeywell subcontractors during the physical installation of the projects.
  • Using technical documents and construction drawings will review system documentation, scope of work, and installation requirements with contractors.
  • Document as-built site conditions and convey to engineering team.
  • Handle multiple projects and tasks.
  • Perform or assist with engineering, planning, scheduling, and installation of simple to complex systems or modifications to existing systems. May plan, schedule and lay out complex electrical equipment installations.
  • Mandatory safe work practices and monthly training requirements including:

  • Carry out hazard and risk assessments for all tasks according to Honeywell policy and regulatory requirements.

  • Report near misses, incidents and other opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide customer service by building and maintain positive relationships with customers and other technicians.
  • Plan and execute customer training session at completion of project.
  • Be responsible for Honeywell assets such as tools, proprietary software and site database.
  • Accurate and timely submission of all required paperwork, meet all reporting requirements.

  • Work flexible hours to accommodate the client needs.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Able to pass background check to access sensitive sites such as DoD. (military)
  • Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
  • 5+ years of computer skills including Microsoft Office. (Word, Excel, Outlook)
WE VALUE
  • Possess or currently pursuing minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • AutoCAD or equivalent software experience.
  • Previous work experience with HVAC DDC control systems.
  • Experience with systems that involve Advanced Solutions such as EBI, Tridium, Echelon products, Lonmark, ModBus, Bacnet or other open technologies for Building automation/integration solutions a plus.
  • Proven technical leadership.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and support on Honeywell products and services with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organization, time management, and communication.
