Support Honeywell to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers. You will work under limited supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers in the general fields of physical and chemical sensors. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation products by working within inventive teams to characterize and test early stage product prototypes. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals working to ensure the success of complex engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas and a desire to develop experience in all the areas: (1) Si-MEMS die testing, probing, and characterization; (2) chemical & gas sensor testing and characterization; (3) physical sensor testing & characterization. Candidate should therefore have a high level of technical curiosity and a desire to continually learn new technologies.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor’s of Science or Arts degree (e.g. Math, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering) and 2 years of experience with sensor or system testing, or
  • Associate's degree Engineering Technology (Electrical or Mechanical) with 4 years of hands-on experience in a technical role

  • Evidence of working independently and within a team of scientists and engineers to solve problems related to technology development
  • Experience working with pre-production prototypes within an industrial R&D center
  • Experience with running, troubleshooting, and testing components and integrated systems within a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with setting up and using a variety of test / lab equipment (MEMS cleanroom tools/Oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and function generators/Gas handling and test equipment)
  • Ability to design test equipment for a variety of electromechanical and/or chemical sensors and systems
  • Demonstrated attention to detail in documenting test results for subsequent analysis with larger technical teams
  • Soldering and basic circuit assembly / test
