The Honeywell Regional Finance Center Asia Pacific General Accounting (RFC APAC GA) team, based at the Zhangjiang, Shanghai facility in China, is an integral part of our ongoing functional transformation initiative supporting Accounting Operations and CP/S SAP/Oracle Deployments across all entities in Asia Pacific. The RFC GA team drives best business practices with each SAP/Oracle deployment by working directly with our internal finance and CP/S partners to ensure first class service delivery.
Working with the Strategic Business Groups (SBGs) to improve front-end processes
Active management of co-source providers (internal and external)
Acting as a vehicle to deliver new systems and processes for the Asia Pacific SAP rollout across ACS business units, ensuring compliance with the Common Process and Systems (CPS) Model and ACS Accounting Policies
Support the implementation of new business, systems and processes into the COTA
Managing process performance to drive continuous improvement
The General Accounting function will oversee and ensure compliance of the close process and deliver key metrics and analysis.

The responsibilities of the General Ledger/Reporting Accountant will be:
Maintain/monitor policies and procedures for the GA process; design and continuously improve processes focusing on simplification, standardizsation, quality improvement and cost minimization; evaluate best practices and be best practice sponsor.
Build effective working relationships with other COE Teams, Finance business partnership teams and co-source partner Genpact.
Use exception reporting and root cause analysis to identify issues and areas for improvement; liaise with Business Partners and Business Managers to drive improvement.
Analyzes and control data leading to the close off for the business results to agreed reporting periods.
Review balance sheet reconciliations and act as primary sign off for the reconciliation process.
Report on and resolve non-compliance issues.
Liaison with advisors, external audit and tax authorities.
Provide support to entity controllers for ad hoc reporting requirements.

Broad knowledge of GA concepts, processes and best practice, including corporate consolidations
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft (especially Excel), Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Oracle/ERPSAP knowledge skills
