This individual is responsible for planning/scheduling, placing/managing orders and supplier schedule commitments to ensure quality material is delivered on time and in the proper quantities to meet ISC goals and objectives.

YOU WILL:

  • Act as main point of contact for tactical supplier issues to drive solutions before they are communicated or escalated internally; Effectively articulate what has been done to manage the issues including next steps in the process and what needs to be done for any required internal escalation effort
  • Ensure that the suppliers are utilizing and implementing forecasts and acknowledging orders immediately and accurately within established lead-times
  • Take the lead with the supplier and factory sites on excess and obsolete items and lead internal evaluation of liability
  • Identify/track/communicate/manage shortages with internal personnel, lead "recovery" actions to ensure suppliers drive buffer strategies and backlog with their supply chain
  • Understand all forecasts and order changes from demand planning before they are given to factory sites and key suppliers, position forecast or order changes with key suppliers, ensure internal communication and understanding of planning orders and forecast shifts
  • Work with demand planning to coordinate forecast/order schedule reviews internally before releasing the orders or revised forecasts to key suppliers

YOU MUST HAVE:

·High School Diploma/GEDHigh School Diploma/GED

·Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a buyer/planner/schedulerMinimum 2+ years’ experience as a buyer/planner/scheduler

·Minimum 2+ years’ experience working with an ERP/MRP systemMinimum 2+ years’ experience working with an ERP/MRP system
