As an Application Engineering Manager, you will be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex application functions within Honeywell Transportation Systems (TS) organization. You will participate in the development and certification of product functionality across multiple programs. You will provide tactical and strategic direction for team of highly talented professionals responsible for program execution and technical oversight within the team. This will enable you to support new products, processes, standards or operational plans within the organization's business strategies, with a direct impact on business unit/function overall results.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Main customer interface for new products development and introduction on market.
  • Pilot customer technical requirements analysis to answer requests for quotation for new business wins.
  • Responsible for technical offer to match customer needs with turbocharger specifications.
  • Identify future customer needs and provide feedback to Product Line & Marketing.
  • Active participation to customer technology roadmaps with customers in alignment with Product Marketing strategy.
  • Strong presence at customer to develop networking & establish a potitive customer relationship and get competitive intelligence.
  • Proactive approach in partnership with key decision makers at customer to prevent escalations on launch issues
  • Application Engineering Team Management with responsibility for Team Performance & Development.
  • Cross functionnal Team coordination to ensure full alignment to meet business targets.
  • Coaching and training of new application engineers.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Mechanical Engineering and/or Thermodynamics Master Degree
  • Ability to manage a team and to work in a cross-functional environment
  • Customer facing experience
  • Fluent in Germand and English
