Electrical Engineer Intern

Assists with design, test, and maintenance of electro-mechanical motor controllers, actuation controllers, and electric drive systems used in aircraft applications. You will perform electrical circuit design, coordinate connectors andboard layouts, and run circuit simulations and analysis using tools such as Mentor Graphics, DxDesigner, PSIM, Matlab, or PSPICE. You will be an Electrical Engineering (EE) major and understand concepts of board design and control systems engineering. You will ideally have lab experience troubleshooting circuits, finding root cause of problems, taking corrective actions, and documenting your findings.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering
  • US Citizenship or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card) required due to export restrictions.
WE VALUE
  • Knowledge of Power Electronics (motor controllers, actuators, or high power generation systems).
  • Experience with circuit design, circuit simulation, and analysis.
  • Ability to leverage technical writing abilities to assist team with producing white papers to document investigation findings.
  • Assisting in the composition of PowerPoint presentations for peer reviews, team meetings, program design reviews, and phase gate activities.
  • Making recommendations for EE circuit corrective actions, with convincing rationale using documented test results and findings.
  • Clearly defining and framing complex EE issues to ensure the most critical elements are addressed.
  • Familiarity with EE lab test equipment such as scopes, probes, and power meters.
  • Holding self and others fully accountable for achieving objectives even when requirements change or are difficult to perform.Developing knowledge of obsolescence parts replacement, identification of substitute parts with similar fit, form, and function.
