Be responsible for providing technical expertise as a program team leader in the identification and development of existing products. You will lead the design effort and be technically responsible for the project. You will provide reports to internal and customer senior stakeholders. You will lead proposals to address future business opportunities, value engineering and program/process changes. Act as a key focal point for driving and implementing goals and objectives and are recognized by business management as primary technical authority
Provide mechanical and systems engineering for power generations programs as assigned by manager
Lead systems engineering effort including aligning engineering resources to engineering tasks for assigned programs
Participate in architecture definition for assigned generator programs. Guide engineering team on following and/or designing new architectures and/or features for future reuse
Responsible for technical sign off of assigned generator proposals for Power Generation. Ensure approach aligns with product roadmaps and core program roadmaps.
Frequently serves as the final technical decision maker, and often requested to review the work of others
May participate in developing long range staffing plans
Participate in and sign off on all product design reviews for assigned PG programs including sign-off related IPDS Phase 3-5 checklists
Provide review of designs for quality and efficiency, alignment to core programs, product line and PG strategy
Provide input to support sharing of knowledge across product areas
Provide input to pursuit/proposal teams to ensure adherence to core program strategy and design/architecture for reuse
Significant technical contributions, essential to the successful completion of projects and which lead to follow-on opportunities and significant technology transfer
