For Honeywell Thermal Solutions (HTS) we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer & Supervisor
This position will be responsible for the mechanical aspects of our projects involving gas burner systems and other thermal solutions. Secondary, this position will supervise the mechanical team located in Belgium, the Netherlands and Barcelona. Within this group, a set of new engineering standards and tools need to be defined, ensuring high quality work and timely completion of projects. This function will be part of the mechanical team that reports to the Leader for Mechanical Engineering & Design Team.
·Detailed mechanical engineering of the thermal solutions. Assuring proper functionality in our burner systems: calculating capacity output, control of gas/air ratio and designing the system according to the local regulations
·Collect and provide knowhow in sheet metal construction for combustion chamber design on ETO projects. Selecting of materials and chamber design considering the construction’s strength and the thermal influences of the burner on the system
·Collaborate with manufacturing and external suppliers and define best design practices to improve cycle time during production
·Support and supervise the mechanical team. Assign projects and provide technical knowledge and knowhow on local regulations and directives
·Help defining engineering standards and tools to improve quality and cycle time of engineering work
Helping assess team members in order to develop high performing teams and identify centers of expertise

·Master’s Degree in Engineering focused on mechanical disciplines
·Proven experience in mechanical engineering of industrial machinery is preferred
·Strong technical affinity is a must
·Knowledge about design engineering regulations in industrial gas burner applications or the capability to develop this in short period
·Must be proactive, results oriented, growth and customer focused
·Experience with CAD is required, preferably SolidEdge or Inventor
·Experience with ERP system would be an asset
·Must be able to communicate and coordinate activity within EMEA to achieve results
·Proficiency in either mechanical is required
·Languages: Dutch and proficiency in English is required, French is a plus Travel requirement up to 25%
