Cyber Safety IT Security Analyst
The Information IT Security Analyst reports to the Cyber Safety Information Life cycle Management (ILM) leader and supports delivery of the Enterprise wide ILM strategy and governance. Specialist will work closely with global security, external compliance, legal, records retention, IT and business functions to identify, classify and protect sensitive information over its life cycle. The role will be responsible to ensure the effective management and protection of Honeywell’s most sensitive information in accordance with policy, standards, regulatory and best practices.
Define processes to govern creation, transmission, storage and disposal of information and data assets.
Conduct periodic reviews of Honeywell Policy and Standards; provide guidance to business to ensure adherence and overall protection of Honeywell’s information assets.
Review Information Lifecycle Management processes to incorporate changes in business, regulatory and compliance environment.
Collaborate with Global Security, External Compliance, Legal, Records Management, teams to define processes for ensuring compliance with Company Policies and Standards.
Coordinate with Global Security and SBGs to ensure full deployment of data protection tools and processes across the enterprise.
Work with HGS and business functions to address any issues that result from the deployment of tools and enforcement policies.
Responsible for monitoring and evaluating progress in implementing the data strategy using metrics and key performance indicators.
Using HGS Dashboards gage effectiveness of controls and work with HGS and business functions to adjust as needed.
Make recommendations for additional training requirements based on effectiveness of controls and adoption by the business.
Support business in testing future tool upgrades for impact on business systems and processes.
Participate in discussions with Communications team to ensure effective dissemination of information to users about data protection initiatives and expectations from the users.
Identify HUE optimization opportunities within ILM.
Partner with Corporate Audit and auditees to identify contacts, participate in scope clarification, participate in audits, clarify issue root cause and develop remediation plans.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or other appropriate field.
Minimum four years’ experience in business/information systems fields.
Strong background in project management, IT operations and security methodologies.
Experience with external compliance (Controlled Unclassified Information, NIST regulations and European Union regulations, IoT) preferred.
Knowledge of Data Protection tools and deployment.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively listen and communicate with others to resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
Global Mindset and experience working with multiple regions and time zones; One Honeywell.
Ability to start and persist with specific courses of action while exhibiting high motivation, sense of urgency, and ownership.
Able to take direction & participate on or manage teams.
Comfortable interacting with and presenting to Sr. leadership.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional planning and organization skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Aptitude/willingness to learn, customize, and develop new processes, methodologies, and technologies.
CISA, ITIL Certification a plus.
Excellent Negotiation Skills: Ability to understand customer needs, negotiate complex issues and total value offerings to our customers, suppliers/partners
Project Management Skills: Ability to define and manage activities and teams required to conduct assessments and re-mediate issues.
